Thanks for taking the time to get to know me a little bit better. My name is Justin Parrish and I am a graphic designer. I am inspired by everything around me and my favorite place to be is in the great outdoors. My story is a little different from most.
I graduated from art school in 2005 and got my first job in Charlotte, NC with a small design company that focused primarily on websites.
After 3 years I decided I wanted to try to work remotely and have an adventure at the same time. Fortunately for me, I was able to move to Belize, Central America.
In 2009 I moved to a remote, off-grid property in Belize and carried out my design work for clients by way of a satellite internet connection powered by solar panels.
By totally immersing myself in a new and different culture, I learned so much about life, myself and living outdoors, sustainably.
After 7 years of jungle life and working remotely, I decided to move closer to the coast in Southern Belize. At that point I decided to do something completely different for a while. So, I left my design job and got my Belize tour guide license and started a fly fishing guide service.
In 2017 I teamed up with a tour & hospitality business that I would wear many hats for over the next 3+ years. First, I managed one of their private island resorts for about a year and a half. Next, I took over management of their fly fishing business in Hopkins and Placencia and finally, I was tasked with managing their large fleet of fishing, diving and resort boats. At the same time I was the operations manager for their offshore charter fishing business.
After 10 years in Belize I decided it was time to move back to the United States. In July of 2019 I relocated to Pensacola, FL where I am currently back in the graphic design game as the owner of Influx Creative.
